About

Meet all our four-legged staff members both big and small who are masters at providing quality riding, stable management, self-care and therapeutic activities for all ages. On their days off you will find them snoozing and playing with their friends in the field, or off on leg stretching trips to the beach and fun rides. We are always grateful for the horses that come through our doors, whether they stay a while or move on to new adventures.

Cooper is our handsome piebald and one half of the infamous “Double Trouble” duo with his best mate Stitch. Originally rescued, Cooper was later loved as a loyal companion...

by a wonderful loaner before joining us at Eat Sleep Ride. He’s now a steady, reliable presence on the ground—full of character, calm energy, and always ready to engage. Cooper supports our groundwork sessions and leadership work, showing up as a true gentle soul with just the right amount of mischief.

Beauty

Beauty is our elegant, watchful Thoroughbred—often referred to as “Mama” for her calming, grounded presence. Behind her beauty is a brave soul learning to trust again.

Rescued after being overlooked and unwell, Beauty is still recovering from a painful sinus infection but is already showing how deeply she wants to connect. She is curious, affectionate, and quietly expressive—always aware, always feeling. She reminds us that healing takes time, and that leadership sometimes starts with simply being seen. With every small step, she teaches us the value of patience, presence, and second chances.

Shadey

Shadey is a cracking little pony with a big heart and a love for jumping. A firm favourite with our younger riders and volunteers, she’s as quick to learn as she is to charm.

Shadey came to us with neglected feet but never lost her spark. With plenty of care and attention, she’s blossomed into a smart, responsive pony who thrives on connection and fun. Brave, honest, and full of character, Shadey reminds us that with the right support, even the smallest hooves can leave the biggest impact.

Jac Horse

Zac

Zach is a striking 17-hand chestnut warmblood with the personality of a small toddler in a very large body! He’s endlessly curious and inquisitive, always wanting to know what everyone’s doing — whether that’s checking pockets for treats or trying to help with yard jobs.

Zach likes to think of himself as “top man” in the herd, but underneath that big presence is a gentle, playful soul who thrives on attention and connection. He’s a real character — the first to say hello over the fence and the last to leave when there’s something interesting happening.

Zach reminds us every day how much intelligence, emotion, and humour horses bring into our lives.

Galaxy Horse

Galaxy

We feel incredibly lucky to have Galaxy a beautiful 16.3hh Clydesdale as part of our herd. She has the kind of gentle nature that instantly puts people at ease...

— calm, patient, and full of quiet strength. From the youngest child meeting a horse for the first time to older visitors seeking comfort and connection, she has a way of meeting everyone exactly where they are.

Her steady presence and soft eyes make her a true favourite during our wellbeing and learning sessions — a horse who embodies kindness, resilience, and trust.
