Pony Days at Eat Sleep Ride
A magical day at our pony farm on the Berwickshire coast
Summer 2026 · Every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday · 23 June to 3 September
Your child gets to be a pony's person for the day — riding, grooming, caring for the herd, and learning the ways of horses from the ground up. Every child takes home a rosette.
Choose your session
Half Day · £50 — 10:30am to 1:30pm (one ride) Full Day · £65 — 10:30am to 3:30pm (two rides!)
Cost shouldn't be a barrier — subsidised places are available, just ask us when you book.
How the day flows
Morning (everyone) · 10:30am – 1:00pm
- Meet your pony, hat fitting and safety briefing
- Grooming and tacking up
- Morning ride — lesson, games or hack, tailored to age and ability
- Horse care — mucking out, feeding, looking after the herd
- Snack break with the chickens (snacks on us)
Full Day continues · 1:00pm – 3:30pm
- Lunch with the team
- Second ride — more saddle time to build confidence
- Liberty work — learning to communicate with a pony from the ground
- Time around the farm — chickens, polytunnel, sensory garden, wildlife ponds
(Liberty is groundwork where the pony chooses to be with you — a beautiful way to understand horses.)
Every day is a little different — children can come back again and again and always learn something new.
