Our total emissions for the year were 14,836 kg CO2e. The main contributors were:

  • Methane (6,794 kg CO2e) from horse digestion

  • Energy & fuel use (2,917 kg CO2e)

  • Nitrous oxide (2,857 kg CO2e) from pasture use

Although we’re not a production farm, this report gives us a clear path to reduce emissions and improve efficiency. Key actions we’re exploring:

  • Installing smart meters for better energy monitoring

  • Expanding solar power and adding battery storage to reduce diesel use

  • Increasing grassland biodiversity to lock more carbon into the soil

  • Exploring agroforestry to support local ecosystems

Our unique site—24 acres of grassland, arenas, and equine facilities—serves as a space for therapeutic and educational programs. This audit strengthens our case for accessing green funding, improving our services, and enhancing environmental awareness.
