Free Youth Arts Programme (Ages 5–21)
Free Youth Arts Programme (Ages 5–21) | March–September
Eat Sleep Ride is delivering a monthly programme of free youth arts workshops for children and young people aged 5–21, running from March to September.
The programme is designed to remove barriers to arts participation and prioritises access, confidence and self-expression, particularly for young people who may struggle to engage in traditional or structured settings. Activities are inspired by horses and the natural environment, offering creative, hands-on experiences in a relaxed and welcoming space.
Workshops are inclusive and accessible for all abilities, with a mix of sensory, craft and making activities. Family members are welcome, and refreshments are provided.
Confirmed workshops (delivered by Jag Arts):
-
Saturday 2 May | 12pm–2pm
-
Saturday 16 May | 12pm–2pm
Activities in these sessions include yurt painting with horse outlines, horse stencil art using mixed media, friendship bracelet making with horse and nature charms, and wooden horse wind chimes to decorate and take home.
Alongside these confirmed sessions, additional monthly workshops from March to September will be announced. Planned activities include flower printing and natural dyeing using garden materials, sound baths in the field, stone carving and lantern making (dates to be confirmed).
This project is funded by Creative Scotland and the Scottish Government through the Youth Arts Open Fund, administered by YouthLink Scotland.
