Eat Sleep Ride Named One of the Nation's Favourite Businesses

We're delighted to share that Eat Sleep Ride has been named one of Small Business Saturday UK's Nation's Favourite Businesses for 2026.

Small Business Saturday is run by Small Business Britain and celebrates the small businesses at the heart of communities across the UK. The recognition was announced on 1 September. It is a real boost for our small team at Quarry Farm, near Lamberton.

Eat Sleep Ride began in 2017 with one pony. Today we are a registered Scottish charity with an off-grid, solar-powered equine sanctuary and ABRS-accredited riding school on 24 acres of reclaimed landfill. We work with young people, families, refugees, care-experienced people and anyone facing rural isolation across the Borders, East Lothian, Edinburgh and Northumberland.

This recognition belongs to everyone who has made that possible: our staff, volunteers, young people, partners, funders and the rescued herd at the heart of it all.

In November, we'll be attending a reception at the House of Lords to celebrate this year's businesses. We'll share more then.
