Andy’s Man Club Visit Eat Sleep Ride
Andy’s Man Club Experience Mindfulness with Horses at Eat Sleep Ride
We recently had the privilege of welcoming members of Andy’s Man Club to Eat Sleep Ride for an evening of mindfulness, reflection and community.
The group explored our site – from the vegetable patch and pond to meeting our chickens and horses – before joining guided sessions with Ben and Frazzel. Together we practised grounding, boundaries and the power of intention, showing how much horses can teach us about presence and self-awareness.
As one lad said:“If someone told me I would learn something about myself from horses, I would have laughed – but I did!”
The night ended with a BBQ, homegrown vegetables to take away, and a renewed sense of connection.
Andy’s Man Club is a nationwide men’s mental health charity running free peer-to-peer support groups every Monday night. Men meet in a safe, non-judgemental circle to talk or simply listen. Guided by five simple questions – from “How has your week been?” to fun, light-hearted ones like “Does pineapple belong on pizza?” – the sessions create space for honesty, hope and humour. Their mission is simple: to reach #ThatOneMan who might otherwise feel alone.
At Eat Sleep Ride, we are proud to support this mission. Our unique off-grid space, herd of horses and nature-led programmes offer powerful experiences for groups, schools, charities and organisations. From wellbeing sessions to leadership retreats, we provide opportunities for people to connect, learn and grow.
We look forward to more collaborations that show the strength of community and the healing power of horses
