Horses, Home & Heritage: A Day of Connection at Eat, Sleep, Ride
As part of Refugee Festival Scotland 2025, we’re hosting a special open day to welcome refugee and asylum-seeking families into our rural space.
Join us on Saturday 21st June, from 11am to 3pm, for a day of warmth, storytelling, and connection—through horses, food, and the natural world.
🌿 What’s happening:
- Gentle, supportive horse interactions
- A hearty BBQ with vegetarian and meat options
- Creative crafts in our yurt
- Relaxed outdoor games and space to connect
- All set within our beautiful, peaceful countryside setting
This event is designed to create space for shared experiences, community building, and a sense of belonging—no matter your background.
The day is free for refugees and asylum seekers, with a suggested £7 donation for others to help support food and horse activities. We also offer accessible facilities throughout the site and can provide pick-up from Berwick-upon-Tweed station if arranged in advance.
Come for the horses—leave with new friends, stories, and connection.
