This October, Eat Sleep Ride is joining the inaugural South of Scotland Dark Sky Festival with an evening of fireside storytelling under one of the darkest skies in Scotland.

The evening takes place at our off-grid, solar-powered farm at Lamberton, five minutes from the Scottish border. It brings together the quiet of the Berwickshire countryside and the old magic of stories told aloud.

What to expect

You'll arrive at dusk to a warm welcome, with the fire pit lit, hot drinks and blankets ready. A professional Scottish storyteller will then lead a session of traditional tales from the folklore of the Borders and beyond: fairy lore, night-sky myths, sea legends from the coast, and the older stories that belong to this landscape. Live music and our rescued horses under the stars complete the evening. Afterwards there's time to settle, stargaze and simply be. Places are limited to 35, so the evening stays close and unhurried.

Adults £18, under 16s £10, under 5s free. Free parking.
All ages welcome; under 16s must be with a ticketed adult.

What to wear and bring

Dress warmly in layers, bring waterproofs and wear sturdy boots. October evenings in Berwickshire are cool, but you'll be warm by the fire. We have an accessible toilet and an indoor warming space on site.
