At Home...

Horses connect us back to ourselves.

Working with horses in this way is an experiential process that enables us to learn about our behaviours whilst learning new skills.

These sessions are tailored and adapted to all ages and with options for individual life coaching and goal setting, couples communications, family fun and connection, staff wellness, conversations for a diverse community, growth mindset theory or for the corporate market as part of a team building, leadership, imposter syndrome, communication training day. Sessions are one 1-hour minimum and can also be run as half or full-day events and can tie in other activities including yoga, crafts, bushcraft skills and more. No prior horse experience is required as this is non-ridden.

With the patience of the horses and our qualified practitioners to guide you, use mindfulness, sensory and self-care techniques to develop your inner calm, stay present and manage your day-to-day. It can also help you learn to create healthy boundaries for yourself. Horses are prey animals that don’t judge you, but mirror your state, for example, the calmer you are; the calmer the horse is. We can use our wonderful team and site to develop team-building and communication skills, whilst trying something new and more exciting than the traditional ice breakers in the outdoors can bolster productivity. Lunch options can be provided by local small businesses.

These workshops are about the process of learning about oneself and what you can learn in the moment. EFL is an opportunity to reconnect to ourselves. In this way, time spent with a horse can give you deep insights and realisations about yourself, and how you relate to others and to the world around you. Essentially when we are working with the horses we become aware of “how others see us”. Horses respond to the energy and environment around them which makes them masters at identifying and reflecting the parts of us we don't know about or deny.

Most importantly, by understanding how we are and regulating ourselves we develop empathy and the building of effective relationships as well as

  • Go on a journey of self-discovery

  • Discover new ways to communicate

  • Build confidence

  • Increase productivity

  • Develop your social and emotional competencies

  • Regulate and identify ourselves and our emotions

  • Develop empathy

  • Build effective relationships.

“We thoroughly enjoyed our family day at Eat Sleep Ride CIC. We decided to book due to having two horse-mad children but no real experience of horses ourselves. We were so impressed! The staff were really enthusiastic, focused and engaged.”
