Eat Sleep Ride Shortlisted for the 2025 BASIS Sustainable Sport Awards – Community Impact Category
We’re delighted to announce that Eat Sleep Ride has been shortlisted for the 2025 BASIS Sustainable Sport Awards under the Community Impact Award category.
This recognition celebrates the impact of our work at the intersection of sport, sustainability, and community wellbeing. From our reclaimed, off-grid site in the Scottish Borders, we provide equine-assisted learning, leadership, and wellbeing programmes that empower young people, carers, families, and volunteers.
Our approach combines sport and sustainability in action — from horse care and riding to environmental stewardship, biodiversity projects, and leadership development. Every session supports confidence, connection, and personal growth while helping people reconnect with nature.
Being recognised by BASIS is an incredible honour, highlighting how local, community-led initiatives like ours can contribute to a more sustainable and inclusive sporting future.
We’re grateful to our amazing team, volunteers, and supporters for helping us reach this milestone — and we look forward to learning about all the other inspiring organisations shortlisted for the awards.
